Restoration and Healing of the Colonial and Slavery Past…

Media Statement & expression of Intent 13th February 2025

On behalf of the ARROW (Alkebulan Restorative Reservoir Of Wisdom) Circle of Elders Council, Kia BI’a: H van Wyk (Father of the Nation).

On the 13th of February 2025, we, the descendants of the Khwe/Xam Nation, have been fortunate to be invited to this auspicious occasion in the 21st century, just prior to the 373 years of colonial exposure of the 6th of April 1652.

We are indeed honoured to have received the warm extended embrace and invitation of the delegates of Amsterdam, Holland 🇳🇱 who have travelled across the oceans on a Schooner expedition, as a re-enactment of historic periods gone by, Our collective mantra from the Khwe/Xam Nation and its Associated Minorities of the victims class, remains resolute to ‘Honour the Past, but we must Investigate, the Present and Future’.

We hereby welcome the opportunity to greet, meet and observe all protocols, in relation to the decorum of the International Guest from Amsterdam, and the Castle Management Team that incorporates the Khwe/Xam, including the Open Dialogue team, on this day, the 13th of February 2025.

The varying cultural traditions and practices differ remarkably between different cultures, which has become evident in exchange programs since time immemorial, that have, in most respects, contributed to the Social ills of the Past and present across the Globe that still finds itself the root cause of underdevelopment in the 21st century.

To resolve this endemic of underdevelopment to all Indigenous peoples and societies, we collectively have to consider defining a new trajectory to not only preserve the IKS that can assist mankind in its quest to preserve the future of all of humanity, through a strategic value proposition that would require assistance and support in creating a better world for everyone.

We believe that we could collectively make a difference in re-directing the path of catastrophe and chaos, by forging strategic alliances and partnerships that would enable us to achieve the common vision and objectives in sustainable solutions based on:

  • Facilitating a coordinated approach to utilise the resources of the Earth to replenish, restore and restructure the development trajectory of humanity in line with our Indigenous Peoples' Knowledge Systems.
  • Create solutions that would offer sustainable opportunities to redress the Social Injustices as a direct consequence of the past, present and future generations of humanity.
  • Restore Humanity to its original design and purpose by building the social bridges between Nations.
  • Be the catalyst to change the way in which the world has to evolve by becoming a more caring society, by putting humanity first before prosperity.
Invest in assisting our SONQAIS Instruments, being the Sonqais Foundation/ Trust, Sonqais Wealth

Management Structure, Sonqais Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sonqais Advocacy Group as key drivers of our success.

We therefore extend the Journey of Living History to rectify the mistakes and shortcomings of the previous generations by providing the lessons that history has taught all of us, as we commit to pursuing areas of common interest in supporting our quest to create a world where equality. Equity, fairness and justice would be the foundation on which to build the future.

I thank you
