Busiswa Nkutshu is the Marketing and Communications Officer at the Castle of Good Hope.

She completed her National Diploma in Events Management at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in 2017 and furthered her studies in 2018, obtaining a BTech in Tourism Management at the same institution.

Busiswa is responsible for promoting the Castle as a premier tourism, heritage, and cultural destination through strategic marketing, digital media, and community outreach programmes. Her work focuses on increasing visitor engagement, strengthening the Castle’s brand presence, and ensuring that its rich history is communicated in a way that is accessible and relevant to diverse audiences.

She also plays an active role in coordinating events, campaigns, and partnerships that showcase the Castle’s historical significance while supporting its transformation agenda. In addition, she oversees visitor communication, media liaison, and the development of marketing content for exhibitions, educational programmes, and special events.

With a passion for heritage preservation, Busiswa is committed to using marketing as a tool to educate the public, celebrate South African history, and position the Castle of Good Hope as a living monument of culture, learning, and national pride.
